XV Portuguese-Spanish Symposium on Plant Water Relations

Water is a scarce resource under growing demand by the need to feed an increasing human population and to mitigate the path towards a drier world. Plants that are the foundation of all kinds of terrestrial ecosystems, human-made or natural, also need water to survive and thrive. Achieving sustainable water use while maintaining or increasing the delivery of plant products and other ecosystem services is a major target that units all plant physiologists independently of their scale of work.

Understanding plant water relations at several scales under climate change is the theme of the XV Portuguese Spanish Water relations Symposium: “Water relations under climate change: from genes to ecosystem”.  As this theme is of interest not only to scientists but also to policymakers and stakeholders we invite you all to participate in this two and half-day Symposium to be held in Lisbon (Oeiras), Portugal
